Oak Ridge Institute for Science and Education is offering a post-graduate research fellowship with the U.S. Army at the Combat Capabilities Development Command – Chemical Biological Center. Responsibilities
Participate alongside a community of scientists supporting our mission to conduct innovative research and development to address existing and future chemical and biological challenges
Engage with a community of scientists across the Department of Defense (DoD) and academic organizations
Participate in innovative projects that integrate chemistry, biology, and engineering
Enhance skills for publishing impactful research findings and presenting scientific results to stakeholders
Prepare for leadership roles in research and development and build a competitive profile for future opportunities in academia, industry, or government research organizations
Qualification
Required
Completed a Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD degree in the fields of biology, biochemical engineering, materials science, chemistry, or related discipline
The degree must have been received within 5 years of the appointment start date; or if currently pursuing, the degree must be anticipated to be completed by the appointment start date
At least 2 years of laboratory experience
Candidates must pass a background check in order to access U.S. Army facilities
Preferred
3 to 5 years of laboratory experience
