Responsibilities
Setup of new funds and accounts within internal systems
Amendment of existing funds and accounts within internal systems
Work with the Implementation, Product, Account Management, Front Office, Analytics and Data Management teams to ensure all required data has been provided to conduct the internal setup
Work closely with global teams in London regarding the internal fund setup processes and the custodian and clearer memos creation within the internal systems
Work closely with London teams to provide follow-the-sun coverage
Work closely with external/3 rd parties to conduct the setup of new funds, accounts and counterparties
Create efficient agile operations in compliance with all internal and regulatory requirements. Ensure that processes and procedures remain up to date to reflect current practices
Interaction with Investment Professionals to understand their systems’ needs
Work closely with Index Data and Analytics teams regarding new benchmarks/strategies and performance returns for the equity and fixed income portfolios
Participate in all internal client onboarding meetings
Participation in ad hoc project assignments specific to fund/account setup
Qualification
Required
Undergraduate degree in Finance, Accounting or a related field
1-3 years work experience within a financial institution
Understanding of aspects of Investment Management particularly how fund data is used in the investment process and the role of trading counterparties
Understanding of fund types and structure
Experience in data management
Understanding of equity, fixed income and exchange traded/OTC derivative products
Strong attention to detail
Organized and structured approach
Good problem solving and communication skills
Able to prioritize workload and deal with tight deadlines
Expertise with Excel/MS Office and exposure to third party applications (i.e. Markit EDM, Salesforce, Bloomberg)
