Generator Service Technician, Generator Services Team
Amazon Web Services (AWS) is the world’s most comprehensive and broadly adopted cloud platform, and they are seeking a Generator Service Technician to ensure the proper operation and repair of electrical generator systems. This role involves maintaining customer satisfaction and data center availability through troubleshooting and quality repairs, as well as adhering to safety protocols and documentation requirements.

Responsibilities
Adhere to and promote all company safety protocols, maintaining a clean, organized, and hazard-free work environment
Actively engage in accident prevention initiatives and contribute to ongoing safety improvement efforts to foster a culture of workplace safety
Travel within an assigned region to designated sites and perform professional quality field service repairs consistent with company standards
Keep Generator Service Manager continually apprised of current priorities to assist in answering customer questions and problems when necessary
Action requests for procurement of needed materials to perform assigned duties
Document detailed, complete and correct descriptions of all repair operations performed
Accurately record time, expenses, and mileage
Lift up to 40 lbs; pushing and pulling a maximum force of 40 lbs
Wear all Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required and provided by AWS
Must have or be able to obtain and maintain a DOT Medical Card upon hiring
Qualification
Required
1+ years of electrical or mechanical, or 1+ years of data center or mission critical facilities (example: hospital, military facility, public safety facility, etc.) experience
High school or equivalent diploma
Must have or be able to obtain and maintain a DOT Medical Card upon hiring
Preferred
2+ years of data center engineering experience
