Maintenance Reliability Intern

Responsibilities

Support the engineering team in projects related to Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), industrial controllers, and automation systems
Gain hands-on experience in troubleshooting, programming, and integration of control systems in a manufacturing environment

Required

Currently enrolled in a bachelor's degree program majoring in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics or Automation with a preference for rising juniors or seniors
Minimum 3.0 GPA
Willing and able to work on-site at our Latrobe, PA location
Applicants MUST be US Citizens or Green Card Holders due to Carpenter's government contracts
Ideal candidates will have strong analytical and problem solving skills as well as coursework involving control systems and industrial automation

Preferred

Exposure to the following is preferable: understanding of PLC architecture and ladder logic; familiarity with industrial controllers (Siemens, Allen-Bradley, or similar); knowledge of automation concepts (sensors, actuators, communication protocols); ability to read and interpret electrical schematics
