Responsibilities

Supporting client engagements by coordinating day-to-day interactions with clients
Reviewing staff work product
Driving delivery of services to meet deadlines
Developing internal team members
Managing engagement economics
Building on technical competence by keeping up to date on trends, developments and technical authorities
Identifying and resolving tax technical issues
Partnering with other team members to help identify new opportunities to leverage to clients across multiple service lines
Providing clients with domestic federal tax advice and guidance tailored to their unique needs
Keeping up to date with ongoing trends and changes to legislation that will affect planning activities
Supervising high-performing teams and sharing experience and knowledge of leading-practices
Developing the technical and soft skills of younger colleagues
Participating in the performance management process
Building relationships at all levels both internally and externally
Preparing practical recommendations to clients' most complex tax issues

Qualification

CPA certificationTax compliance experienceUS income taxation knowledgeMicrosoft ExcelProject managementCoaching skillsAnalytical skillsRelationship building

Required

A Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a graduate degree in Tax or Law and approximately five years of related work experience
CPA certification or licensed attorney status
A background in tax compliance and accounting for income tax and a broad understanding of US income taxation
Experience managing budgets and projects
Knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Access and data mining tools
The ability to prioritize when working on multiple projects, and the confidence to engage and integrate directly into our clients' teams
Willingness to travel as needed, and working in a balanced hybrid environment

Preferred

A proven record in a professional services environment
Experience in coaching and mentoring junior colleagues
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
The ability to adapt your work style to work with both internal and client team members
