Automation Systems Specialist IV
The University of Louisville is seeking an Automation Systems Specialist IV responsible for the operation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and replacement of HVAC control systems. The role includes designing, implementing, testing, and commissioning building automation systems and managing related employees and contractors.

Responsibilities
Design, implement, test, and commission building automation systems (BAS) and energy management systems (EMS)
Manage Building Automation System and Energy management System employees with hiring, performance evaluations, and training
Manage contractor specifications, problems, performance, and administration
Assist in the acceptance phase of commissioning construction projects
Troubleshoot possible issues, including identifying and debugging software, electrical or pneumatic, and installation problems with BAS and EMS
Generate reports and recommendations on the performance, condition, operation, and maintenance of building equipment and systems
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in a related field and six (6) years of related experience with pneumatics, electrical and digital HVAC control devices, systems and their applications or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Valid driver's license required and must be insurable by the University's insurance carrier
Experience with installation, programming, start-up, commissioning, integration, troubleshooting, and repair of one or more direct digital control systems such as Siemens, Apogee, Schneider Electric I/A Series, Tridium Niagara R2, etc
Experience generating web-based graphics, alarms, trends, and other automated reports is required
Experience configuring and integrating various manufacturer graphical user interfaces, network-level controllers, and field-level controllers using BACnet, LonWorks, Modbus, and proprietary protocols
Must be able to pass FBI Form FD-961 clearance, be willing to be fingerprinted, and accept random drug testing
Strong computer skills with Excel, Visio, and Word
Strong interpersonal and verbal/written communication skills
Preferred
CEM or LEED AP certification is a plus
