Research Resource Facilities Specialist IV
The University of Louisville is seeking a Research Resource Facilities Specialist IV for their Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (NMR) facility in the Department of Chemistry. The successful candidate will oversee the use and maintenance of NMR and EPR instruments, organize user access and billing, and assist students and faculty in collaborative research.

Oversee the use and maintenance of the Department’s Varian 400, 500, and 700 MHz NMR and Bruker EMXplus Electron Paramagnetic Resonance (EPR) instruments
Organizing user access and billing
Training and assisting post-doctoral, graduate and undergraduate student users
Participating in collaborative research with faculty
Working with local industry
Possible opportunities for teaching if desired
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Biology, Biochemistry, Microbiology, Virology or a related field and six (6) years of experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Preferred
Prior experience with magnetic resonance instruments that include troubleshooting at the board level
Ph.D. in chemistry, biochemistry, physics or a related field
one year of experience in NMR and EPR spectroscopy is highly desirable
