HTS Technical Lead

They are seeking a Senior Principal Electrical Engineer for the Electrical/Systems Technical Lead role, responsible for ensuring the technical integrity of the HTS and proprietary program assemblies and providing technical guidance to a team of engineers.

Responsibilities
Responsible for the technical integrity of the HTS and proprietary program assemblies, including the Technical Data Package (TDP) maintenance, validation, and integration
Technical oversight for a team of 8 program specific engineers and leading/managing the teams’ cross functional engagements
Manage the technical risk for the HTS and proprietary program assemblies
Responsible for technical oversight of Sustainment failure investigations
Frequent engagement with program chief engineers to ensure technical rigor
Engagement with program management on strategic development of plans for execution and/or course of actions to ensure contract execution in regard to cost and schedule
Work environment is primarily in an office, but may include labs, field work, or a combination
Responsible for suppliers and customers for procuring and demonstrating capabilities in lab or field environments
Assignments may include proposal development, design changes and analysis; developing and documenting subsystem requirements and test plans and reports; peer reviews of designs as a subject matter expert; presentations to peers, management, and government customers; and root-cause failure investigations
Raytheon has a strong culture of mentoring; it is expected that employees will be both mentors and mentees
Assignments may require some travel, including foreign travel
Collaboration with both Functional and Program higher level management

Qualification
Required
Bachelor's in science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM)
Typically requires a minimum of eight (8) years of experience in one or more of the following areas: RF product and subassembly integration, and production support in a Sustainment phase of the product lifecycle; Analog, digital, and power electronics, integration, and production support; Deconvolving high level requirements into actionable design electronics and subsystem architectures
Experience in customer and supplier engagement to resolve requirements issues
Experience with changes in logistical support, technical requirements and environments associated with field support of the hardware that will allow continued operation and support within cost, schedule, and/or risk constraints
Preferred
Experience as a technical leader on a complex subsystem, ideally during Engineering, Manufacturing, and Sustainment Phases of the product lifecycle
Systems engineering thought process with analytical skills background
Highly self-motivated individual that can perform multidiscipline work
Electrical subsystems typically contain antennas, analog RF circuit cards, digital circuit cards, and configurable logic so the ideal candidate will have a background in troubleshooting of one or more of these components. Ideal candidates will also have experience in project leadership, systems engineering and architecture and have a desire to grow into a higher level
Able to network / influence outside of the department with other design and production support organizations, program leadership, other engineering disciplines and Manufacturing organizations
Interpersonal skills with the ability to interact positively with peers, suppliers, management, and customers in a production environment
Proven experience in balancing engineering process discipline and innovation for rapid development and program success
Experience working with missiles or similar systems
Ability to effectively work multiple tasks and priorities
Practical experience in all phases of the product development lifecycle, with an emphasis on field support
Experience in developing proposals associated with obsolescence mitigation
Experience leading large, complex trade studies
Experience developing and materializing conceptual designs and integrating them into a system of systems
