Cyber Systems Engineer 4– Int Spec (25-572)

This role is focused on integrating and maintaining essential cybersecurity tools within the C2BMC system to support missile defense operations for U.S. defense authorities.

Responsibilities

Integrating, configuring, and automating the installation of Tanium with the existing Cyber Tools set on the C2BMC system as a replacement for our current BigFix Server
Verifying that Tanium complies with contractual requirements
Documenting the installation process and providing deployment instructions for Tanium to the C2BMC Enterprise
Installing, deploying, and unit testing various Cyber Tools such as: ACAS, ArcSight, Delinea, ESS, Axway Repeater
Responder for Windows MFA in the National Team (NT) labs, the C2BMC Testbed (CTB), and Operations
Creating and validating installation instructions for Cyber Tools and Vendor Patches
Applying Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) and managing and addressing any Cyber Tasking Orders (CTOs) related to the Cyber Tools
Collaborating with local Information System Security Officers (ISSOs) to ensure adherence to relevant cybersecurity standards and regulations
Collaborating with various C2BMC teams to ensure compatibility and seamless integration of Cyber Tools within the larger system
Document and verify all installation and configuration steps for labs and operational deliverables
Providing feedback to Cyber Leadership and engineers to enhance cybersecurity tools and processes
Strong understanding of cybersecurity standards and compliance requirements
Strong communication and teamwork skills for successful collaboration
Proactive strategy for troubleshooting and solving problems
Technical troubleshooting of software applications, integrating COTS products, analyzing system vulnerabilities and mission impacts, and implementing risk mitigation to achieve system accreditation

Required

A Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Cyber Security, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or a related field from an accredited university is preferred, along with 8 years of experience; or a Master's degree in a related field with 6 years of relevant work experience; or 12 years of relevant work experience may be considered as an alternative to a degree
Applicants must have a current, active DoD 8140 certification at IAT Level II or higher (such as Security+, GSEC, SCNP, SSCP, CCNA-Security, CySA+, CND, etc.) at the time of application, which is required to start. The candidate is responsible for maintaining their DoD 8140 certification throughout the entire contract period
Applicants must have a current, active in-scope DoD-issued Secret security clearance at the time of application, which is required to start
Willingness to travel up to 10% for business needs
Hands-on Tanium management in enterprise settings
Proven experience in integrating and maintaining Cyber Tools such as: Elastic Stack, ACAS, ArcSight, BigFix, Delinea, ESS, Axway Repeater, Responder for Windows MFA, ICAP
Tanium Certified Administrator (TCA) or Tanium Certified Engineer (TCE) with Tanium Performance expertise
Expert in Tanium
Deep experience with Tanium API, Connect, Direct Connect, and Content Sets
Strong understanding of cybersecurity standards and compliance requirements
Strong communication and teamwork skills for successful collaboration
Proactive strategy for troubleshooting and solving problems
Technical troubleshooting of software applications, integrating COTS products, analyzing system vulnerabilities and mission impacts, and implementing risk mitigation to achieve system accreditation
