Responsibilities
Monitor and support IoT cloud connectivity of Evolv products
Design and build secure remote access mechanisms
Define firewall/routing management for access points within Evolv products
Interact with IoT telecommunication service providers and hardware vendors when needed for design or troubleshooting
Detect and help mitigate data overages
Develop solutions to improve performance in locations that may be subject to poor LTE signal coverage or Wi-Fi network congestion
Recommend and qualify software/firmware/configuration updates for routers handling IoT and Wi-Fi connectivity
Develop optimized configuration and firewall settings
Coordinate with other Evolv teams to develop rollout plans
Troubleshoot day-to-day IoT connectivity problems to root cause in LTE, portal, AWS, device hardware, software, or some combination thereof
Collaborate with Customers and Evolv teams on solutions for locations or applications that may have unique network challenges
Identify performance trends to provide continuous improvement for the Evolv fleet of products and growing customer base
Qualification
Required
Strong background in LTE and Wi-Fi networking
Experience with software coding or scripting
Ability to monitor and support IoT cloud connectivity
Experience in designing and building secure remote access mechanisms
Knowledge of firewall/routing management for access points
Ability to interact with IoT telecommunication service providers and hardware vendors
Skills in detecting and mitigating data overages
Experience in developing solutions for performance improvement in poor LTE signal coverage or Wi-Fi network congestion
Ability to recommend and qualify software/firmware/configuration updates for routers
Skills in developing optimized configuration and firewall settings
Experience in coordinating with teams to develop rollout plans
Ability to troubleshoot IoT connectivity problems to root cause
Skills in collaborating with customers and teams on unique network challenges
Ability to identify performance trends for continuous improvement
