Responsibilities
Lead the development and oversight of financial planning, forecasting, budgeting, cost accounting, decision support, and bench-marking initiatives
Collaborate with executive and operational leadership to prepare and manage annual operating and capital budgets, business plans, and board-level reports
Oversee development and optimization of productivity tools, cost models, performance dashboards, and strategic business case evaluations
Support monthly operating reviews (MORs) by preparing variance analyses, departmental summaries, and actionable insights
Enhance financial transparency by building education, training, and user-friendly tools for department leaders and stakeholders
Maintain cost accounting methodologies that accurately reflect clinical workflows, payer mix, and departmental structures
Guide multi-disciplinary teams in translating complex data into financial and operational strategy, using KPIs to track progress and impact
Contribute to strategic initiatives, including service line development, market expansion analysis, and payer contract modeling
Develop strong internal and external relationships to align financial strategy with clinical quality and operational goals
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Healthcare Management or related field required
Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in healthcare finance or strategy roles, with 3+ years in a leadership capacity
Prior management experience required, with demonstrated ability to lead teams effectively in a healthcare setting
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial planning tools (e.g., Axiom, Strata, or similar platforms)
Strong analytical, writing, and presentation skills, with the ability to translate complex information into actionable insights
Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with a consultative approach to working across departments
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
Preferred
Master's degree in Business, Public Health, Healthcare Administration or related field strongly preferred
Experience with cost accounting systems, EHR/ERP data integration, and productivity/performance improvement tools preferred
Familiarity with clinical workflows, healthcare reimbursement models, and quality performance metrics is a plus
