Specialist, Systems Integration Engineering

As a Specialist, Systems Integration Engineer, you will be responsible for executing hardware and software system integration, system characterization and troubleshooting, and verification and validation of complex systems.

Responsibilities
Hands-on system integration and testing of a complex hardware/software system
Perform design verification testing efforts including lab, chamber, ground, and flight test
Assess, troubleshoot, and develop mitigation strategies for complex system issues at the assembly and sub-assembly levels
Maintenance of test equipment
Work with parts vendors to solve issues
Rapidly learn and contribute during design-develop-build-integration|test-verification|validation cycles
Ensure deliverable is in accordance with requirements
Collaborates across fast-paced multidisciplinary (mechanical, electrical, software, and specialty engineering) team
Develops and runs simulations and analysis tools to predict system performance in various environments
Analyze data from design verification test efforts
Track and present technical performance results
Authors test plan/procedures, non-conformance reports, requirements, and other system engineering CDRLs
Contributes to trade studies
Uses Agile PLM, Sunflower, Windchill
Ability to maintain DoD security clearances as required
Ability to lift to 20 lbs
Up to 10% travel may be required

Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree and minimum 4 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 8 years of prior related experience
Active Secret security clearance
Ability to maintain DoD security clearances as required
Ability to lift to 20 lbs
Up to 10% travel may be required
Preferred
Experience in unmanned aircraft or guided weapon systems
System level experience in which the applicant has been involved in the design and integration of complex hardware/software systems, the definition of multiple interfaces, and been involved in the trades of multiple solution options
Hands-on system integration experience, cross-discipline engineering, verification and validation testing, and system performance characterization
Experience with and an understanding of aerospace systems, especially in the development of integrated hardware/software products
Experience integrating typical payloads like sensors or communications into air vehicles
Experience with Model Based Systems Engineering
Experience with MATLAB, LabView, Python, or C/C++/C#
Experience in Control Account Management as part of an Earned Value Management System
Experience with proposal development including generating basis of estimates
Experience in development of use cases and requirements developed from customer objectives and concepts of operations
Excellent people skills with experience leading and collaborating in a multi-disciplinary, diverse, and dynamic team environment
Excellent communication skills (written, verbal, & presentation)
Experience using Microsoft Office products
