Responsibilities

Manages all air traffic and airspace assets and provides technical expertise
Provides direction, evaluation, coordination, and advice on Air Traffic and Airspace operations, management and training
Develops and recommends policy and plans to support the use of navigable airspace
Develops plans to meet new airspace mission requirements, for airspace improvements, modifications or expansion

Required

One year of specialized experience which includes experience directing and conducting airspace-management functions; ensuring integration and synchronization of multiple airspace users; ensures the safe synchronized use of airspace- integrating aircraft, UAS, fires and friendly units while overseeing ATC operations and advising units on all airspace issues
You must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted
Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation
Male applicants born after December 31, 1959, must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Registration
One year trial/probationary period may be required
You will be required to provide proof of U.S. Citizenship
This position is covered by the Alcohol and Drug Abuse Prevention Control Program and requires to sign a DA 5019 and must pass urinalysis testing prior to appointment and periodically thereafter
This position requires the incumbent to report to work or remain as scheduled to support mission operations during the event of severe weather conditions or other such emergency type situations
This position requires to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance

Direct Deposit of Pay is required.
Salary includes applicable locality pay or Local Market Supplement.
Permanent Change of Station (PCS) allowances may be authorized, subject to the provisions of the Joint Travel Regulations and an agency determination that a PCS move is in the Government Interest.
