Responsibilities

Perform detailed design of all aspects of electrical power systems to include one-line diagrams, three-line diagrams, control and relaying schematics, wiring diagrams, SCADA, communications, conduit and cable sizing/routing, grounding design, general arrangement, selection of equipment, writing of equipment specifications
Set, test, wire, and install relaying and control systems, specifically SEL equipment
Program, installation, and testing of SCADA and PLC systems, primarily SEL-RTACs
Produce configuration files associated with IEC61850 (GOOSE), DNP3, or other SCADA protocols
Prepare a variety of documents and reports associated with projects including specifications, RFIs, studies
Perform SCADA and relay field testing and commissioning services
Provide field assistance and troubleshooting for SCADA systems such as SEL-RTAC, Ignition, or PLCs
Checking the work of designers, drafters, and field service personnel for general quality and accuracy as required
Understanding and experience with applicable Codes and Standards such as NEC and NESC
Mobilize and perform field assignments multiple weeks at a time in Texas and New Mexico
Coordinate directly with client stakeholders to discuss project health

Required

Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology from an accredited institution, electric power option preferred
5+ years of relevant engineering or field experience
FE and/or PE is preferred
Knowledge and familiarity with medium and high voltage power systems, with strong knowledge in SCADA
Strong base knowledge of substations
SEL equipment installation and configuration, such as RTACs and Protective Relays
Experience with configuring, testing, and commissioning IEC61850, DNP3, MODBUS, and/or other SCADA protocols
Experience creating Network Architecture Diagrams
Proficiency with AutoCAD
Previous Interactions with clients, customers, contractors and others
Ability to travel periodically for weeks across states for field work as needed
Possesses effective written and oral communications skills
Good interpersonal and people skills
Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis

Preferred

Experience with Oil & Gas private usage networks (Transmission & Distribution) is a plus
