Dematic is looking for a Procurement Senior Category Lead to join their team and help invent the future of strategic sourcing for their Robotics and Automation categories. This role involves developing category strategies, optimizing cost, mitigating risk, and improving supplier performance while collaborating with various internal teams to align procurement initiatives with business objectives.

Responsibilities

Develop and communicate category strategies for the Robotics and Automation categories
Identify and maintain reliable sources of supply to meet quality, service, and cost goals
Negotiate agreements using market analysis and scenario planning to achieve favorable outcomes
Work with internal teams to coordinate negotiation strategies and deliver meaningful results
Build risk assessments and mitigation plans to prevent supply disruptions and respond quickly when challenges arise
Review and provide input on contract terms, pricing, and delivery requirements
Build cost models and analyze market trends to understand pricing and supply chain impacts

Required

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in business, engineering, or a related field
8+ years of regional or global procurement experience
Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to influence and lead
Advanced quantitative, cost modeling, and data analysis capabilities
Ability to operate independently in a global, matrixed environment
Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Willingness to travel up to 25%

Preferred

Experience in project-based procurement or managing integrated automated technology and software is a plus
