Field Application Engineer
IntePros is seeking an Applications Engineer to support one of their global technology clients in the power, energy storage, and data center infrastructure space. This role involves providing engineering support across the full product lifecycle and serving as a technical bridge between customers and internal engineering teams.

Responsibilities
Serve as primary technical liaison with customers across multiple engineering and business functions
Communicate complex technical and product information clearly between customer teams and internal stakeholders
Build and maintain strong relationships with engineering contacts, understanding customer applications, system constraints, and business objectives
Utilize advanced engineering principles in the development, analysis, and release of electrical and electromechanical products
Lead and participate in design reviews—both internally and with customers—including drawing reviews, specification alignment, and interface requirements
Conduct engineering analyses using CAE tools to simulate conditions, replicate product performance, and assess manufacturability
Support failure analysis activities and prepare technical reports summarizing root cause and recommended corrective actions
Lead technical engagement on rack-level electrical protection, power conversion, and distribution systems
Support integration of: Power Distribution Units (PDUs), Power Supply Units (PSUs), Battery Backup Units (BBUs), HVDC sidecar racks and modular power systems
Translate customer requirements into component-level specifications for circuit breakers, contactors, solid-state relays, energy storage interfaces, and other electrical protection devices
Provide technical support during trade shows, demonstrations, and customer on-site visits
Respond to technical inquiries and requests for proposals
Assist in preparing quotations for standard and custom electrical products
Help develop and refine standard product configurations that leverage company strengths and manufacturing capabilities
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent technical experience
Experience working in fast-paced environments with multiple competing priorities
Strong communication skills—written, verbal, and presentation
Excellent planning, organization, and time management skills
High level of integrity, accountability, and professional ethics
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate across technical and business teams
Technical knowledge of: Basic electrical circuits, Microelectronic assembly, Statistical methods and process control, Manufacturing processes such as welding, soldering, machining, molding, bonding, stamping, leak testing, and calibration
Preferred
Experience with data center electrical architectures, including single-line and 5-line diagrams
Familiarity with rack-level power distribution, busway systems, modular power systems, and remote power panels
Knowledge of HVDC systems and retrofit applications in hyperscale environments
Understanding of PUE, energy efficiency metrics, and AI-compute-driven high-density rack requirements
Exposure to certification standards such as UL489, UL62368, CE, and AEC-Q200
Experience with energy storage systems, peak-shaving strategies, and microgrid integration
