Oversees and manages the application needs of Brown University’s Department of Public Safety

Responsible for the acquisition, integration, and management of the department’s application needs

Manage the on call 24x7 responsibilities for the team

Participation in the on call rotation

Required

5 years of experience in an IT-related position

Supervisory experience

Experience working within a law enforcement or security environment

Experience planning and managing small- to medium-size projects

Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team

Proactive service ethics, tactful under pressure, and demonstrate an ability to communicate and work

Collaborate with all levels of technical and professional staff, senior IT management and university leadership, and all sectors of the user community

Demonstrated communication skills (verbal and written) and the ability to present complex information to varied levels and types of constituents at a higher education institution (technical and non-technical customers)

Successful completion of a criminal background check and education verification

Experience working in Higher Education

Experience managing card access and closed circuit TV applications

Experience managing the acquisition process of software
