Financial Aid Coordinator

Responsibilities
Provides comprehensive and personalized financial aid counseling to students and their families
Explains various financial aid programs, eligibility criteria, and application procedures
Assists students in understanding and managing their financial responsibilities
Collaborates with the admissions office to ensure seamless coordination between admissions and financial aid processes
Stays informed about changes in financial aid regulations and policies
Ensures compliance with federal, state, and institutional guidelines
Maintains all files, documentation, student notes, and data entry according to standard operating procedures
Serves as a primary point of contact for students, parents, and other stakeholders regarding financial aid inquiries
Addresses concerns, resolves issues, and provides excellent customer service
Collaborates with academic advisors, admissions officers, and other campus departments to provide holistic support to students
Participates in cross-functional teams and committees as needed
Offers support as a backup for fellow Financial Planning team members
Engages in various activities, including admissions, academics, career-related events, graduation ceremonies, and other workshops that necessitate the involvement of a financial planning representative
Undertakes additional responsibilities as delegated
Qualification
Required
Must be in good standing with the Department of Education
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Flexibility in work schedule, including availability for evenings and weekends
Detail oriented with excellent organizational and time-management abilities
Proficient in computer skills, specifically in Microsoft Office Suite products
Preferred
Associate degree
Customer service experience
