Dealer Tire is a family-owned, international distributor of tires and parts established in 1918 in Cleveland, OH. They are seeking a Corporate Finance/Tax Intern to support the Finance/Tax department with various tax accounting responsibilities and assist in the preparation and analysis of taxes.

Responsibilities

Support Finance/Tax department with a variety of tax accounting responsibilities
Support in the preparation and analysis of income taxes, sales/use taxes, property taxes
Collects and analyzes tax information
Research/Resolve transaction issues for assigned accounts
Assist with the preparation of ad hoc and other internal reports
Assist with audit requests
Manage small scale ad hoc deadline-based projects, while maintaining day-to-day routines
Provide project support to the Department staff on an as needed basis, and in conjunction with other priorities
Actively manage own time to accomplish the above within time frames established and agreed upon between Intern and Department

Required

Accounting/finance major, preferably entering junior or senior year in 2024
Excellent communication skills, verbal and written
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to work well within a team
Well organized, initiative-taker who eagerly approaches new challenges and looks for opportunity
Proven ability to manage confidential information and sensitive situations with tact and maturity
Proficient at entry level in MS Office including Outlook, Word, Excel, and Power Point
Basic working competency in MS Excel
