Assistant Professor of Accounting
The University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences is seeking an Assistant Professor of Accounting. The role involves teaching undergraduate courses, mentoring students, and engaging in research and professional activities within the business community.

Responsibilities
Teaching twelve credit hours a semester at the undergraduate level, including Principles of Managerial Accounting and selected upper-level courses in the major such as Cost Accounting, Auditing, Governmental/Nonprofit and Accounting Information Systems
Advising/mentoring students
Serving on departmental and university committees
Participating in course and program assessment
Engaging in research/scholarly activities appropriate to a teaching-centered School of Business
Professional engagement with the business community
Qualification
Required
Ph.D. or D.B.A. is strongly preferred
Applicants with a Master's degree in Business Administration or Accounting will be considered at the instructor level
Experience teaching at the collegiate level and/or professional experience are preferred
CPA licensure or eligibility for licensure with an intent to complete the requirements is preferred for candidates with a Master's degree
Collegiality, professionalism, effective communication skills, and a strong commitment to teaching excellence are necessary
