Electrical Electronics Technician

Responsibilities

Technical and operational ability to run, troubleshoot, and repair manufacturing equipment
Organize, prep, and prepare parts required to properly complete machine repairs or improvements
Interpret, create, and continually improve PM task lists in a partnership with the TPM coordinator as needed
Properly coordinate and complete projects in accordance with the schedule for compliance
Upon completion of projects, ensure equipment is in the optimal run-ready state for production use under the Supervision of the Master Electrical/Electronics Technician
Monitor and seek feedback regarding equipment performance for future needs and improvement, (Production workers and Mechanics)
Properly maintain equipment; with cost savings in mind, but to prevent future catastrophic repair or downtime
Proactively, work directly with Parts Clerk and TPM coordinator for spare & critical parts needs
Flexibility. In extreme circumstances, it may be needed to fill in as a Mechanic to cover production. Work hours may need to shift to accommodate the accomplishment of projects based on the production schedule
Follow all EHS rules/regulations such as LOTO, Arc Flash, PPE
Follow all Quality cGMP’s consistent with FDA/ISO compliance requirements
Be a driving force for increasing yield through improved equipment reliability

Required

High school diploma or graduate equivalency diploma (GED) required; associates or technical degree preferred
Position requires a minimum of 5 years in an electrical/electronic technician role in a production manufacturing environment
Strong electrical background
PLC/Controls competent with evidence of formal schooling and/or experience
Hands-on mechanical process experience
Strong PC skills, (eMaint, Excel, Word, Email, PowerPoint)
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals, basic schematics, basic blueprints, and basic diagrams
Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
Ability to speak effectively to outside vendors and/or co-workers, supervisors, etc
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions, metric measurement, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret charts and graphs
The associate must provide their own hand tools for performing machine repairs. Tools should include industrial mechanic tools such as sockets, wrenches, pliers, punches, chisels, screwdrivers, dial caliper and micrometer, etc
Ability to apply common sense understanding and to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several variables in production environment situations
Ability to train other less skilled maintenance employees on procedures and sound electrical troubleshooting methods
