Responsibilities
Work in a team environment with other engineering disciplines, operations and mechanical personnel
Proactively seek improvements directed at increasing plant reliability
Specify new rotating equipment to comply with industry and company design practices
Ensure safe, cost effective, operable rotating equipment and associated systems are provided and maintained to meet current business unit needs
Have leadership capabilities with strong organizational, communication, and team working skills, through a combination of formal training and/or experiences
Provide quality control and design reviews of new projects that involve rotating equipment
Periodically review rotating equipment thermodynamic and mechanical performance
Have experience with machinery monitoring and troubleshooting including bearings, seals and auxiliary support systems and vibration analysis
Lead RCFA development
Provide assistance in the field during plant startups, shutdowns or upsets
Deliver guidance to the business units on prioritization of machinery related work
Have a demonstrated ability to influence without direct authority
Be able to provide off-hours support of abnormal and non-routine operation
Qualification
Required
B.S. Mechanical Engineering
10+ years of experience in rotating support equipment roles in a petrochemical manufacturing facility
Knowledge of industry standards for purchasing equipment and repair standards
Work in a team environment with other engineering disciplines, operations and mechanical personnel
Proactively seek improvements directed at increasing plant reliability
Specify new rotating equipment to comply with industry and company design practices
Ensure safe, cost effective, operable rotating equipment and associated systems are provided and maintained to meet current business unit needs
Have leadership capabilities with strong organizational, communication, and team working skills, through a combination of formal training and/or experiences
Provide quality control and design reviews of new projects that involve rotating equipment

Experience with machinery involved in the manufacturer of Low- and High-Density Polyethylene
