Responsibilities
Lead daily CNC machining activities on assigned machines and product families
Set up and troubleshoot complex CNC jobs from blueprints and job travelers, holding tight tolerances
Serve as the first point of contact on the floor for troubleshooting tooling, offsets, and quality issues
Work closely with Engineering to improve setups, standardize tooling, and reduce cycle times
Help plan and sequence work to keep machines running and hit production targets
Train and mentor CNC operators and associates on proper setup, operation, and inspection techniques
Use automation and robotics (bar feeders, automation cells, robots) to maximize spindle uptime
Perform in-process and final inspections using micrometers, calipers, indicators, and automated gaging
Monitor part quality and documentation for ISO 9001:2015 compliance
Support continuous improvement projects that improve safety, quality, and throughput
Qualification
Required
5+ years of CNC machining experience, including advanced setups and troubleshooting
Proven ability to read and interpret complex blueprints and geometric tolerances
Experience leading or mentoring other machinists or operators, formally or informally
Strong understanding of cutting tools, holders, tool grades, and how to improve tool life
Comfortable using inspection tools and automated gaging systems
Knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 requirements and shop documentation
Mechanically inclined with strong problem solving skills on CNC and automation equipment
High school diploma required
Ability to work overtime when needed
Preferred
CAD/CAM programming or editing experience preferred
technical/trade school certificate or equivalent experience preferred
