Business Development Representative - Outbound (US Automotive)

Responsibilities

Identify target dealerships - primarily within the DealerOn customer base and develop strong lead lists
Conduct high-volume outbound activity (calls, email sequences, LinkedIn outreach) to generate interest and secure intro calls
Qualify dealer needs, pain points, and readiness for digital retailing tools like Trustap’s Dealer Deposits product
Maintain a consistent cadence of outreach while delivering a consultative tone, not a scripted pitch!
Book discovery calls for the Sales Executive team with well-qualified prospects
Keep detailed notes (CRM) and handoff context to the Sales Executives to ensure seamless follow-through
Work closely with Sales to refine messaging, sequences, and targeting criteria
Educate dealers on Trustap’s secure deposit solution and subscription model
Understand and communicate core value propositions: trust, fraud prevention, consumer confidence, and digital retailing efficiency
Represent Trustap professionally in all communication channels
Maintain accurate records of outreach activity, lead status, and booked meetings in Salesforce
Track personal KPIs: outreach volume, meeting booked rate, qualified pipeline contribution, and conversion metrics
Provide regular feedback on market trends, objections heard, and dealer sentiment from the front line

Qualification

Required

1-2+ years experience in BDR/SDR, telesales, lead generation, or inside sales (SaaS or automotive experience an advantage, but not required)
Strong communication skills; clear, confident, and persuasive on the phone and in writing
Highly organized with the ability to manage high-volume outbound activity
Experience using CRMs such as Salesforce
Self-starter with the discipline to manage a remote work schedule

Preferred

Strong interest in the automotive retail space is a plus, but not required
Valid Driver's License preferred for occasional travel, but the role is primarily remote
