Mid LevelnLeague is seeking a SQL Database Developer to work with the DHS Office of Internet Technology (OIT) in Arkansas. This role focuses on maintaining compliance with State and Federal requirements while providing support for an existing Microsoft Access database application used in daily accounting operations.

Responsibilities
Troubleshoot and resolve defects in the existing Access front end and SQL Server back end
Ensure daily operational workflows function consistently and accurately
Document business logic, database relationships, and application workflows to enable internal support
Provide knowledge transfer to OIT Staff
Collaborate professionally with business stakeholders to clarify issues and confirm successful resolutions
Coordinate with the modernization project team to ensure continued alignment, without performing modernization work
Qualification
Required
MS Access Development
Strong SQL Server experience (queries, stored procedures, debugging)
Visual Basic for Applications
ActiveX Data Objects
MS Access SQL and Query design
Experience splitting MS Access Databases into Front Ends and Back Ends
Experience translating the business logic from macros/modules/queries to SQL
Experience writing stored procedures, pl/sql and migrating tables from MS Access to SQL Server
Experience converting MS Access Forms/ Reports to any Web based application
QuickBase Rapid Application Development Platform
Proficiency in Microsoft Access / VBA for debugging and maintenance of existing forms, queries, and modules
Experience reverse-engineering and maintaining legacy systems without redesigning them
Ability to follow change control, documentation, and testing processes
Comfortable working within existing architecture and constraints
Strong written and verbal communication skills for documentation and knowledge transfer
Preferred
Understanding of accounting or financial workflow systems
Prior experience stabilizing legacy applications during transition to new platforms
