Responsibilities
Responsible for ancillary financial analytics for clients that are primarily under 300 lives
Prepare standard analyses with minimal customization. Analyses may include:
Market review analysis
Rate and contribution analysis
Financial, contractual, and rate comparisons and analysis
Analyze claims experience data. With guidance identify financial performance conclusions
Help drive USI’s panel carrier strategy and process
Manage RFP workload for less complex clients. Support senior team members
Serve as primary contact with insurance carriers on new business quotes and renewals. Includes requesting quote and evaluating options
With assistance develop strategic plans and solutions for less complex clients
With assistance, negotiate market results with carriers
With assistance develop alternative strategies, plan modeling, and cost reduction opportunities
Perform technical analysis of group insurance contracts and financial arrangements
Develop and maintain excellent carrier relationships
Participate in the peer review process, primarily as the reviewed party
Keep current on industry information, technology, and trends
Qualification
Required
High School Graduate
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, team environment with some instruction
Ability to manage and negotiate multiple priorities and deadlines
Must hold or be willing to obtain a Life & Disability insurance license within the first six months of employment
Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
Working knowledge of Adobe and Microsoft Office products, including Word and Excel
Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills
Preferred
6 months + experience in Employee Benefits related field preferred
College degree preferred, but not required
