Responsibilities

Learn patient experience metrics and core drivers
Support current-state validation, friction analysis, and improvement meetings
Capture notes and track action items for cross-functional initiatives
Map workflows and assists in process documentation to identify improvement opportunities
Contribute to systemwide improvement projects using Lean methodology and PDSSA cycles
Collect, synthesize, and translate patient feedback from surveys, comments, grievances, and web reviews
Ensure accurate and comprehensive capture and categorization of the patient voice
Analyze trends and generate actionable insights to guide improvements and inform leadership
Support creation of dashboards, slides, and reports for leadership and stakeholder communication
Attend Patient Experience huddles and manage follow-up action items
Maintain shared folders, reference libraries, and documentation to support team workflow
Assist with major system initiatives and support Senior Leadership Team deliverables

Required

Applicants must currently be enrolled in a full-time accredited public or private College/University
Current undergraduate student ideally pursuing a degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Health Administration, Project Management, Nursing or a similarly related field
Be in good academic standing
Work 37.5 hours per week and commit to a minimum of 375 hours for the duration of the internship
Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States as a U.S. citizen or national, asylee, refugee, or lawful permanent resident
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suit (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
Familiarity with Lean Six Sigma (LSS) concepts and process improvement tools
Strong analytical, organizational, and detail-oriented work habits
Data-savvy, able to synthesize complex information into actionable insights
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
