SIM Technician

Responsibilities
Support daily operations of clinical simulation lab
Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues that arise during simulations
Assure facility and equipment are organized and prepared for teaching sessions by preassembly of props, moulage, learning materials, and documentation
Operate simulation console and software, audio/visual equipment, debriefing equipment, and human patient simulator
Assist faculty in monitoring students’ safety
Provide theatrical support including moulage and voice over
Provide feedback for improving simulation experience
Maintain a clean and safe simulation lab to promote an optimal learning environment
Conduct routine equipment maintenance
Salvage re-usable supplies and repackage
Monitor and maintain organization of supply stock
Communicate with Simulation Resource Facilitator to promote
Qualification
Required
Ability to work with various and changing technology
Self-directed with an ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Technical skills in operating and troubleshooting complex equipment and software
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team of educators and students
Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 50 pounds
Preferred
Experience in a clinical healthcare setting, healthcare simulation, or information technology is highly desirable
