Stoneridge has designed and manufactured advanced technologies for vehicle OEMs since 1965. The Controls Engineering Intern position is responsible for assisting in the development and delivery of control systems for manufacturing equipment, involving troubleshooting and programming tasks.

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot and assist with controls issues on production equipment
Assist in programming equipment, robotics, inspection cameras, and operator interfaces
Verification of all controls requirements on manufacturing equipment
Assist with integrating electrical safety requirements into equipment
Assist in the delivery of all required electrical systems documentation
Help in the development of specifications (include electrical/programming/hardware requirements)

Required

Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or other applicable field of Engineering
Interest in controls design and improving assembly / test equipment
Proficient in MS Office products
Understanding of PLC controls/Ladder Logic/Visual Basic techniques
Hands on technical experience and problem solving capability
Demonstrated understanding of mechanical/electrical concepts
Good communication skills / team experience
