Associate/Full Professor in Civil, Environmental and Construction Engineering
The University of Texas at El Paso is seeking a highly qualified individual to join its growing environmental engineering program at the rank of tenured associate professor or higher. The role focuses on advancing research related to water and requires establishing a strong research program in various innovative areas.

Establish a strong research program in areas including membrane processes for desalination and advanced purification
Next generation hydrologic modeling for predicting floods and droughts
Innovative technologies for removal of emerging contaminants
Resource recovery from solid and liquid waste streams
Technological and policy solutions for coping with water scarcity
Qualification
Required
Earned a doctorate in Environmental or Civil Engineering or a related field
Minimum of six years of professional experience in higher education or comparable experience in a research-focused organization such as a national laboratory
Proven record of excellent leadership and communication skills
Vision for a long-term research program
Established nationally recognized expertise in water research, as demonstrated by peer-reviewed articles, citations, H-index, patents, and leadership in professional organizations
Ability to sustain extramural research support from diverse sources
Effective mentoring to undergraduate, graduate, and postdoctoral researchers
Valuable network of collaborators
