Payroll & Accounting Specialist
St. Anne Institute is looking for a full-time Payroll & Accounting Specialist to join their Business Office team. The role involves generating payroll, maintaining employee records, and assisting with accounting responsibilities.

Responsibilities
Generate bi-weekly payroll in an accurate and timely manner
Maintain records regarding employee benefit leave time and distribute monthly reports to supervisory staff
Maintain all personnel and payroll files in good order
Prepare vouchers for payroll, withholdings, and deductions
Reconcile quarterly earnings of employees
Enter all student banking payments on spreadsheet to keep accurate balances for when students discharge
Reconcile and distribute annual withholding tax forms
Maintain correspondence regarding payroll matters
Prepare and distribute FTE and overtime earnings report monthly
Summarize bi-weekly payroll to ensure journal entries are posted to the general ledger
Collaborate to upload bi-weekly payroll detail into the Finance Department’s accounting database
Assist with Audit and Accounting with reconciliation of general ledger accounts that relate to payroll, i.e. withholding accounts as well as prepare reconciliations monthly, quarterly and annually for the financial audit
Act as liaison on all questions that relate to payroll
Assist with Accounting and Billing responsibilities as requested
Abide by the NYS Justice Center Code and the SAI Codes of Conduct/Ethics
Complete additional duties as requested/required by the Chief Financial Officer or Director- Billing, Accounts Receivable, Collections & Contracts
This position may work across programs to accommodate fluctuations of staff as well as clients served
Qualification
Required
Associates or Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or Accounting
3 - 5 years experience processing payroll
Strong knowledge of ADP and Kronos software
