Responsibilities
Partner with cross-functional teams (design, product, data science, QA, and engineering) to advise on product roadmap and create innovative features and developer experiences with our APIs
Rapidly prototype and implement new product features from ideation to production, using modern web technologies and best practices for performance and reliability
Collaborate closely with early access developers to deliver scalable and efficient API features
Be a champion for both developer experience and for sustainable, scalable code practices
Participate in on-call responsibilities to ensure Poe provides a reliable and high quality product
Qualification
Required
Availability for meetings and impromptu communication during Quora's 'coordination hours' (Mon-Fri: 9am-3pm Pacific Time)
5+ years of experience working with large scale codebases and systems
3+ years of experience working with React, Typescript, and GraphQL
3+ years experience in Python, Java, C++ or similar programming language
2+ years experience in designing APIs or building UI products for external developers
A passion for learning and always improving yourself and the team around you
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Preferred
Passion for Poe and Quora's products and mission
Passion for code quality and designing elegant systems
Stay updated on the latest API trends, technologies, and best practices
