Responsibilities
Lead and execute research agendas aligned with industry trends and client needs
Identify key themes, emerging technologies, and market opportunities in life insurance and InsurTech
Produce high-quality, actionable research reports and insights
Profile FS technology vendors and startups to guide client strategy
Forecast and track technology trends shaping the insurance landscape
Lead or deliver consulting projects that align technology strategy with client goals
Conduct technology workshops, IT architecture reviews, and vendor due diligence
Develop market expansion and product positioning strategies for tech vendors
Author thought leadership papers and represent Celent at conferences and webinars
Partner with FS firms, insurers, consultancies, and VCs to address key technology challenges
Build and maintain trusted relationships with senior stakeholders in the insurance and tech ecosystem
Identify growth opportunities and collaborate with business development teams
Promote Celent’s capabilities through strategic client engagement and advisory work
Represent Celent at FinTech, InsurTech, and FS technology events
Engage with media, press, and industry forums to share insights
Build a visible profile as a trusted thought leader and advisor in life insurance technology
Coach and guide team members to develop their analytical and consulting skills
Foster collaboration, innovation, and continuous learning within the team
Qualification
Required
Degree-level education or equivalent experience
10+ years in the life insurance sector, including: Technology strategy or delivery in an insurer; or Consulting/advisory work in life insurance technology; or Vendor-side experience in life insurance technology solutions
Strong knowledge of life insurance operations and technology
Proven ability to develop and manage research agendas
Exceptional written, verbal, and presentation skills
Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities
Experience leading consulting engagements and advising C-suite clients
Proven public speaking and media engagement experience
Independent and self-motivated, with intellectual curiosity and strategic thinking
Deliver high-quality research reports that influence industry strategy
Identify disruptive technologies and inform clients' decision-making
Recognized authority in life insurance and FS technology
Deep understanding of emerging tech, architecture, and digital transformation
Represent Celent at major industry forums and conferences
Produce impactful written content, visuals, and presentations
Communicate with tact, clarity, and storytelling precision
Lead complex projects to successful outcomes with measurable impact
Identify opportunities to expand client relationships and project scope
Foster creativity and challenge conventional approaches
Use insights to drive innovation and client value
Inspire and mentor team members through coaching and feedback
Promote continuous self-improvement and collaboration
