Responsibilities

Develop detailed CAD drawings and designs for residential development projects, including site plans, subdivisions, grading plans, utility layouts, and mapping
Ensure drawings meet all relevant codes, standards, and client requirements
Provide technical guidance and support to the project team throughout the design and review process
Utilize advanced CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD Civil 3D) to produce high-quality design documents
Review and verify the accuracy of drawings and designs
Coordinate with engineers and other team members to ensure design intent is accurately captured
Work closely with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless project execution
Assist in the preparation of construction documents and specifications
Mentor and train junior CAD designers and drafters on best practices and technical skills
Share knowledge and promote continuous improvement within the team
Communicate with clients to understand project requirements and provide updates on design progress
Address any client concerns or design alterations as needed

Required

10+ years of experience in CAD design, with a focus on residential development projects
High school diploma or equivalent (associates degree preferred)
Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and other relevant CAD software
Strong understanding of residential development design standards and regulations
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in design work
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team
Effective time management and organizational skills
