Responsibilities

Serves as lead process mechanical engineer and/or project manager on municipal wastewater treatment plant projects
Leading the preparation of plans, specifications, cost estimates, technical reports, and other project documents
Prepares project work plan, scope, schedule, and budget, and communicates these to project team members; monitors/manages project production for compliance with schedule, budget, and quality objectives
Identifies new business opportunities for AECOM, coordinates and participates in project presentations to clients and other external groups, and promotes AECOM’s capabilities, marketing its services among existing and prospective clients
Coordinates and participates in contract negotiations with clients and subcontractors and drafts complex professional service agreements and addenda for review by senior management
May supervise technical professionals, associate project managers, and design staff including workload and staffing management
Assisting with marketing needs within the region
Participating in professional societies relevant to the industry

Required

BA/BS in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or related field + 8 years of experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
8+ years of relevant experience in wastewater treatment plant process mechanical design
Professional Engineering (PE) license in Florida
Wastewater treatment plant experience
Valid US Driver's License, and as a condition of employment, pass AECOM's motor vehicle records review
Due to the nature of work, US Citizenship is required

Preferred

10+ years of experience in water/wastewater infrastructure design, including pipelines and lift stations
3+ years of Project Management Experience
Experience with design-build or alternative project delivery methods
Experience and familiarity with the following programs: AutoCAD, REVIT, Sewer/Water CAD
Experience working with local clients in Florida
Candidates must have proven interpersonal skills, including client interaction, public speaking, and persuasive ability; strong project financial management along with ability to lead diverse, multi-disciplined teams
