Business Development Director

The Director of Business Development will drive growth in the Infrastructure Solutions business unit by identifying new business opportunities and building relationships with key stakeholders, particularly in the AI Ecosystem.

Responsibilities

Identify and evaluate new business opportunities in global markets, with a particular emphasis on Neocloud, COLO and Hyperscale customers (AI Ecosystem)
Strategic customer engagement: Collaborate directly with strategic customers, influencing their design decisions and securing Vertiv's products as the basis of design
Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, partners, and industry influencers
Conduct market research and analysis to stay informed about industry trends and competitive landscape in the AI Ecosystem
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including account managers, solution architects and product development, marketing et to ensure alignment and successful execution of business development initiatives
Prepare and present business proposals, reports, and presentations to senior management
Monitor and report on the performance of business development activities and adjust strategies as needed
Thought leadership: Represent Vertiv at industry events, conferences, and trade publications to showcase technical expertise and disseminate reference designs

Required

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field. A Master's degree is preferred
Minimum of 5 years of experience in business development, with a focus on global markets
Proven track record of success in identifying and securing new business opportunities
Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Willingness to travel internationally as needed

Preferred

Experience in the technology or infrastructure solutions industry
Knowledge of multiple languages and cultural awareness
Proficiency in CRM software and other business development tools
