Responsibilities

Manage and maintain Windows and Linux servers, including system configurations, upgrades, and troubleshooting
Administer Dell Servers and VxRail storage, ensuring optimal performance, scalability, and reliability
Perform patch management across Windows and Linux environments, ensuring security compliance and system stability
Implement and manage Azure cloud services, including virtual machines, storage, identity management, and security configurations
Oversee Group Policy administration to enforce security and access controls across the enterprise
Monitor storage environments, execute backup and restore procedures, and maintain data integrity
Optimize network connectivity and server performance, identifying and resolving infrastructure bottlenecks
Collaborate with IT teams to design, deploy, and support scalable cloud and on-premises solutions
Ensure compliance with IT security policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements
Maintain documentation for system configurations, processes, and troubleshooting procedures
Perform accurate and detailed logging and tracking of all changes and incidents in the landscape
Maintain asset inventory, warranty, and contract maintenance on all equipment
Provide accurate, timely, and professional resolution on all reported issues per IT SLA's
Manage day-to-day operations and lifecycle management of all server and storage infrastructure
Role will require periodic off-hours and weekend support
Perform other job duties as assigned with a high degree of flexibility and professionalism

Required

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
5+ years of experience in system administration, storage management, and cloud infrastructure
Hands-on experience with Dell Servers and VxRail storage solutions
Expertise in Windows and Linux server administration, including security, performance tuning, and automation
Experience managing Azure environments, including virtual machines, networking, and identity services
Familiarity with backup, restore, and disaster recovery solutions in enterprise environments
Strong knowledge of Windows Server and Linux administration, including command-line operations
Experience with storage architecture, SAN/NAS solutions, and virtualization technologies
Expertise in Active Directory and Group Policy management
Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot complex server and storage issues efficiently
Proficiency in scripting languages like PowerShell or Bash for automation
Understanding of cloud migration strategies and hybrid infrastructure management
Excellent communication and teamwork skills for cross-functional collaboration
Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and respond to critical incidents effectively
Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines
Must be a US Citizen due to US Naval Contractual Agreements
Work Schedule 8am--5pm M-F, and on call for emergencies
Must be able to report to Wilmington, MA and work onsite during scheduled days Tuesday -- Thursday (remote Mon & Fri)
Working knowledge with Microsoft Office products, Exchange, SharePoint\OneDrive, Windows Server, Active Directory, and Cisco wireless
Ability to solve problems and see projects through to completion
Team-oriented attitude to help other colleagues and departments with technical problems
Ability to manage, track & prioritize multiple projects/tasks
Team player with ability to work independently
Must be able to provide at least two professional references that will attest to the staff's interpersonal skills, work ethic, ability to work on a team, leadership skills, integrity, ability to multitask, ability to accept and learn from feedback
Ability to successfully pass a background check

Preferred

Certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate, Dell EMC certifications, or relevant Linux certifications are highly desirable
IPM Power Systems and AIX experience beneficial
