MSR / LOAN INTERVIEWER II (Manning)
SAFE Federal Credit Union is seeking a Loan Interviewer II to present and explain credit union products and services to members. The role involves processing financial transactions, interviewing members for loan applications, and assisting with various member inquiries while meeting assigned goals.

Responsibilities
Sells/cross sells products and services based on member needs in order to meet assigned goals
Processes financial transactions for members including such functions as opening and closing of accounts, issuing checks, processing deposits and withdrawals from accounts, issuing certificates, drafts and other negotiable instruments, opening and closing safe deposit boxes and IRA accounts, issuing ATM/debit cards and PIN numbers
Responds to routine member inquiries regarding the operation of accounts, access to services, account discrepancies, and assisting members with lost/stolen/forged items
Performs teller duties as needed
Verifies signature cards, initiates check orders
Verifies ATM/debit card maintenance forms
Provides general credit union information
Interviews members, completes credit applications, and makes recommendations for approvals/denials consistent with policy to Loan Officers
Processes loan application: Disbursement of loan, preparation and completion of related documents required for loan, packaging and mailing of packet
Advises members of approval or denial and processes loans or denials
Processes loan deferral requests, refers to appropriate approval level and advises member of decision
Assists in reaching credit union volume and insurance penetration goals
Other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
One year related experience and/or training
Equivalent combination of education and experience
Thorough knowledge of credit union's computer system for performing basic input/output tasks
Ability to communicate effectively with prospective and current members
Ability to represent the credit union and its products in a positive and professional manner
Outgoing, enthusiastic, conscientious, group oriented, and open to change
Ability to perform each essential duty satisfactorily
