The Electrical Special Projects Technician will be responsible for the installation of electrical infrastructure, coordinating with customers, and ensuring quality assurance on all work completed.

Responsibilities

Installation of liquid tite, receptacles, installation of colored wire per electrical code, termination of breakers in RPP, testing, sending of code sheets and installation of grounding infrastructure

Coordinate with customers and other departments for the installation of service related electrical installations

Directly communicate with upper management in regards to install schedule and assigned daily tasks

Directly interface with customers regarding support tickets requests

Ensure that all assigned tasks are completed with an acceptable level of cleanliness

Perform quality assurance checks on all work completed

Maintain a professional appearance and communication for all Customer Service opportunities

Licensed Electrical JourneymanElectrical service/maintenance experienceAnalytical skillsCommunication skillsProblem-solving skills

Required

Must be a licensed Electrical Journeyman in the state of employment

Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills

Able to express ideas clearly, concisely and effectively with contractors performing maintenance or upgrade work on systems installed in the data center environment

Able to utilize good initiative, analytical skills and sound judgement to solve problems and make decisions

Able to effectively interface and communicate with the operations and construction teams on a daily basis

Able to work with direction and work independently with an interest in quickly learning and applying new skills and abilities

Able to identify and prioritize tasks and plan workload effectively

Self-motivated to help and learn in all areas of our department outside their direct supervisor position Uphold Switch's Karma philosophy— leading with integrity and empowering those around you

A willingness and ability to work hard with a sense of urgency and a respect for deadlines

A Background in electrical service/maintenance with a minimum of 4 years of electrical experience or 4 years working in Switch's Construction Department
