Sr. Document Control Admin, 1st Shift

The Sr. Document Control Admin provides engineering change order processing and administrative support for Document Control, Quality, and Engineering departments, ensuring the integrity and accuracy of documentation and processes.

Responsibilities
Responsible for the electronic libraries, document control room (non-electronic records), revision control, control of quality records and for receiving, controlling, maintaining and distributing external and internal documents
Work with all plant(s) personnel to create, edit, control all changes related to Document Control, and maintain ECOs, SPIs, SPMs, General WI and PC for the manufacturing floor. Utilize photographs, drawings, sketches, diagrams, and charts to convey technical and work requirements
Maintain revision control and verify the clarity, completeness, accuracy, and quality of work instructions
Edit, standardize or make changes to documents prepared by other personnel
Responsible for obtaining required approval signatures for all controlled documents. Responsible for reviewing approver’s comments once document is approved to ensure that all changes are updated on SSQAAs, SQAPs, i.e
Supports customer (internal/external) programs and plans by providing technical and administrative direction to the development and implementation on the procedures, functions, services, tools, processes, and resources required to successfully develop and support a complex Document Control System
Provide timely and accurate processing of Engineering Change Order (ECO) and ensures the accuracy of internal Bill of Materials (BOM) structure including the attributes affected by Engineering Change Order (ECO)
Responsible for Blue Print (B/P) ballooning, initiating workflow process and obtaining required approval signatures
Responsible for accessing Customer websites and downloading customer documents in a timely manner to ensure all users have the latest revision of appropriate documentation
Work with engineering team to obtain and keep FAIRs up to date. Understand and comply to ISO (TS/AS) requirements and all other industry specific requirements, such as but not limited to, (NADCAP, ASTM, etc.)
Conduct internal audits of the Quality Assurance program as directed by the Supervisor. Schedule internal audits, maintain database and report on system performance
Receive training and certification where required.
Must follow all safety requirements of job as outlined on the job safety card
Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor
Complete all paperwork associated with the job. Correctly maintain all forms and instruction sheets
Maintain a clean and orderly working environment
Inform your supervisor about problems that occur
May be required to handle hazardous waste by collecting and transferring the waste into proper containers at satellite storage areas or storage areas and assuring that the containers are properly inspected, labeled, and closed as required. Must follow correct instruction for handling hazardous waste and report any deviations to supervisor immediately. Must attend yearly instruction in hazardous waste handling and review of current procedures if job duties could affect non-compliance
May be appointed as the certified weld representative pertaining to weld qualification for Hitchiner Manufacturing, U.S. Operations. This include review and compliance to Nadcap Criteria and customer specification for Welding
May be required to support special process qualifications
Qualification
Required
1-3 years experience in an administrative role or related position
Working knowledge of current ERP Solution
Capable of reviewing Blue Print (B/P) and understanding the delta change to each document
Solid understanding of the investment casting process and product applications
Ability to read and interpret customer provided specifications
Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills and possess the ability to communicate verbally and through written correspondence across multiple functions and departments
Attention to detail with a strong emphasis on spelling and word usage
Must be able to handle Quality documentation in an efficient and professional manner
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite applications (Word, Excel, and Outlook). Must be able to develop spreadsheets and modify formats in order to independently complete assignments
Strong personal computer skills are required with the ability to understand general networking and server paths
Must have the ability to handle tasks simultaneously and be able to work effectively with interruptions
Ability to handle confidential or sensitive information
Must meet applicable US regulatory and ITAR requirements
Must be able to travel between facilities, however, based out of VCO facility
Must meet Customer/OEM prerequisites to be granted access to their respective websites
High School Diploma or GED
Preferred
Associates Degree preferred
