Brand Manager, Go-to-Market Specialist

They are seeking a dynamic Brand Manager/Go-to-Market Specialist to lead the strategy and execution of key brands within their toy portfolio, focusing on market research, brand positioning, and cross-functional collaboration.
Responsibilities
Develop and refine the strategic vision, brand positioning, and growth plan for assigned toy brands
Identify consumer insights, market trends, and cultural shifts that fuel brand relevance and product innovation
Analyze category dynamics and competitor activity to guide brand strategy
Partner with Product Development, Design, Creative, and Sales teams to inform product roadmaps and ensure brand alignment
Provide strategic input on new product concepts, line extensions, packaging, product naming, and brand architecture
Evaluate brand performance, SKU productivity, and portfolio mix to optimize category presence
Lead development of annual brand marketing plans — including launch strategies, digital campaigns, PR activities, trade and retail support
Identify and develop strategies and tactics to increase shelf share, pursue conquests into adjacent aisles at retail, and embark on opportunistic ventures into new categories
Collaborate closely with Sales to deliver compelling retailer pitch materials, line reviews, and promotional programs
Provide thought leadership and guidance on packaging development to maximize sell-in opportunities and meet retail standards
Align with Sales, Operations, and Inventory teams to support forecasting, inventory planning, and production timelines
Partner with Finance to define brand budgets, pricing strategies, and profitability measurement
Collaborate with Director of Performance Marketing and Director of E-commerce to define coordinated campaign parameters and track towards achievement of KPIs
Support licensing activities, including licensor approvals and partner compliance, as needed
Utilize market research tools (including Circana data) to analyze opportunities and develop insights to be shared across the organization
Track sales performance, campaign effectiveness, and product profitability
Provide monthly/quarterly brand reviews, insights, and actionable recommendations
Use data to refine strategy, optimize spend, and identify new opportunities for growth
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or related field
4 – 6+ years of experience in brand management, consumer products, toys, or CPG
Strong understanding of consumer behavior, product lifecycles, and retail environments (Target, Walmart, Amazon, Specialty, Discount, Clubs, etc)
Experience developing marketing plans, packaging, and consumer-facing creative
Excellent project management skills with the ability to manage multiple timelines
Strong analytical skills with comfort interpreting data and building strategic recommendations
Proven ability to communicate effectively (both internally and externally), collaborate across teams, and influence stakeholders
Preferred
Experience in the toy industry or consumer products business
Familiarity with licensing, co-branded partnerships, and approvals processes
Knowledge of e-commerce, digital marketing, and social/creator ecosystems
Passion for play, creativity, innovation, and building fun and memorable consumer experiences
