Responsibilities

Provide strategic direction and technical leadership for Platform Engineering, SecEng, and Data Science &AI at Procurify

Partner with the CPTO to define and execute the long-term technical strategy for Procurify’s platform

Develop a multi-year roadmap for platform modernization, reliability, performance, and security

Build, mentor, and scale high-performing engineering teams with a focus on ownership, accountability, and excellence

Foster a culture of collaboration, transparency, technical excellence, and continuous improvement

Own the architecture and evolution of Procurify’s cloud infrastructure, CI/CD platforms , system reliability, and developer experience

Lead initiatives to improve scalability, performance, observability, and operational efficiency

Drive platform initiatives that enable product teams to innovate faster without compromising stability or quality

Champion modern engineering practices and standards across the organization

Oversee the SecEng function to ensure the safety, integrity, compliance of Procurify’s systems and data

Lead proactive security strategies including vulnerability management, incident response, and risk assessments

Ensure adherence to industry standards and support audit readiness (SOC2, ISO, etc.)

Build strong partnerships with Engineering, IT, Compliance and GTM teams to embed security-by-design practices

Lead the evolution of Procurify’s data and AI capabilities, including data platform maturity, machine learning/AI initiatives, and analytics foundations

Partner with product leadership to identify high-impact opportunities for AI-driven features and insights

Ensure scalable data infrastructure that supports real-time and predictive insights

Build frameworks, tools, and best practices for Machine Learning model development, experimentation, and deployment

Collaborate closely with Product, Engineering, and GTM stakeholders to align platform investments with customer and business needs

Drive clarity and communication around platform work, prioritization, and success metrics

Represent Platform Engineering in leadership forums and strategic planning discussions

Required

10+ years of software engineering experience with a strong background in platform, infrastructure, security, or data

5+ years of leadership experience managing multiple teams or engineering managers

Deep expertise in data systems, distributed architecture, and AI/ML infrastructure

Strong experience with cloud-native platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and modern frameworks (e.g., Python, React, TypeScript, or similar), distributed systems, and DevOps practices

Proven track record leading complex technical initiatives in a SaaS, cloud-native, or high-growth environment

Experience partnering with or leading SRE, Security and/or Data Science teams

Demonstrated ability to define strategy, build teams, and drive measurable outcomes

Excellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to influence across teams and levels

Passionate about creating scalable, secure, and delightful developer and customer experiences

Maintains a professional and current LinkedIn profile, ensuring it is updated upon joining Procurify to reflect their new role and maintain a consistent company presence

Preferred

Experience with FinTech, procurement, or spend management products

Leading distributed or global engineering teams

Strong background in platform engineering, data, or security
