In this role, you will be a key member of the finance leadership team, responsible for preparing accurate, complete, and timely financial statements, overseeing all external reporting deliverables, and serving as a subject-matter expert on GAAP matters.

Responsibilities
Oversee overall external financial reporting operations
Provide accounting guidance with both a hands-on and big-picture approach
Prepare quarterly and annual financial reporting packages (SEC reporting)
Support recurring and ad hoc reporting to the parent company and external stakeholders, including board reports, analyses, and other internal reporting requests
Perform research to determine the correct accounting treatment based on generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)
Drive automation of reporting processes within the ERP system
Assist with providing information and documentation in connection with internal and external auditor 10-K and 10-Q reviews, financial statement audits, and SOX (Section 404) testing
Supervise preparation and review of industry and competitor analyses, as well as requests from independent stakeholders
Perform various special projects and analyses, as required
Work extended hours as needed during reporting periods
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree or MBA in Finance or Accounting
CPA strongly preferred
Public accounting experience a strong plus
Supervisory experience strongly preferred
Local to the Twin Cities metro area
