Sr. Risk Manager, Safety Investigations
Amazon is seeking a Senior Risk Manager to elevate and scale their Product Safety Investigations team. This role involves investigating product-related safety risks and creating mechanisms to enhance the team's efficiency and effectiveness in decision-making and risk evaluation.

Responsibilities
Build scalable mechanisms that improve investigation quality, speed, and consistency across the team
Establish clear mental models and decision frameworks that guide the team’s judgment on safety risks
Partner with Product, Tech and Science teams to identify automation opportunities, integrate AI tools, and streamline manual workflows
Lead or support complex investigations and escalations, ensuring clear documentation and customer-obsessed recommendations
Analyze data to uncover patterns, systemic issues, or signals that require program-level action
Write clear narratives that explain risk, root cause, and recommended solutions to senior audiences
Mentor team members, raising the bar on clarity, structure, and judgment
Identify long-term improvements to the safety ecosystem and drive cross-functional alignment to implement them
Qualification
Required
6+ years of compliance, audit or risk management experience
Knowledge of Microsoft Office products and applications at an advanced level
Bachelor's degree or equivalent
Preferred
Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent certification
Experience leveraging technology and implementing lean principles / Six Sigma methodologies to drive process improvements or equivalent
Master's degree or equivalent
