Responsibilities

Actively participates and contributes to safety adherence and understanding across the organization with regards to sustaining electrical safety best practices
Repair and maintain electrical systems and related components for industrial equipment; Install power supply wiring and diagnose or troubleshoot malfunctions; Repair or replace faulty components, such as relays, switches, motors or fixtures; Electricians prepare reports of maintenance and repair activities, including modifications of schematics or blueprints; Participate in safety meetings and training activities; Follow established safety and operating procedures and practices
Moog electricians work with minimum supervision and daily duties involve reading and interpreting work orders; Technical descriptions; Safety manuals including NEC, NFPA 70e, and ANSI, reading and following electrical code, manuals, schematics, specifications and circuit prints
Electricians consult with operators, engineers, factory and manufacturing representatives or area managers on maintenance problems and projects; Coordinate with operating personnel regarding maintenance and repair activities; Adhering to all necessary safe-work permits; Install, repair and maintain motors, electrical operating equipment, switches, relays and fixtures
Inspect / maintain transformers, buss bars, circuit breakers, and wiring connections in power distribution substations; Troubleshoot electrical equipment, switchgear, controls and wiring using test equipment. Repair motor starters and controls; Test continuity of circuits to ensure electrical compatibility and safety of components using voltmeters, ohmmeters, and meggers

Required

Demonstrated ability to understand and apply all verbal, written and computer work instructions or training in English
Demonstrated ability to perform simple addition, subtraction, multiplication and division
Demonstrated proficiency as an Electrician (Electrical primary craft)
Able to demonstrate basic computer skills, math and problem-solving; mechanical, numerical and verbal aptitude to learn our jobs quickly
Must be able to work call-ins and overtime when support is needed
Able to use standard safety equipment; must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
Able to climb ladders/stairs and work at heights using manlifts, scaffolding, and ladders
Able to work in tight or closed-in spaces
Ability to train on 1st shift for a minimum of 3 months before assignment to 3rd shift

Preferred

High School diploma or GED preferred
Minimum of 5 years electrician work experience (industrial setting preferred)
