The Energy Engineer will support the development and delivery of energy efficiency programs by conducting engineering calculations, providing project oversight, and developing technical strategies to recommend energy savings.

Responsibilities

Calculate energy savings for projects in our programs using standard engineering principles including physics, mechanics, electrical, thermodynamics, mathematics, and statistics

Participate in energy audits to identify opportunities for energy efficiency improvements

Prepare technical reports

Support development of measures characteristics for program planning and BD efforts, with technical oversight

Understand building energy end uses and energy impacts of industrial processes

Support analysis of energy efficiency projects using various tools and software

Prioritize safety in all actions and tasks

Candidates must be located in Michigan to be considered

BS Engineering degree

0-3+ years' experience

Preferred

FE/EIT preferred

Knowledge of energy modeling principles, data logging and analytics, programming, or others as defined by the specific position
