Accounting Manager, Member Firm

Crete Professionals Alliance is a rapidly growing accounting firm that empowers small to mid-market firms with innovative solutions. The Accounting Manager will support member firms in the Northeast Region with financial reporting, monthly close activities, and annual audit requirements while collaborating with various teams to enhance accounting processes.

Responsibilities

Responsible for the monthly close of a portfolio of firm
Key team member in successful building platform processes and implementing them at member firm
Manage and coach offshore accounting team in India to handle day-to-day accounting processes including bank reconciliations, balance sheet reconciliations, AR, AP, etc
Facilitates adoption of platform level standard operating procedures at member firm and manages communication and implementation change as platform processes evolve
Provide support to local operations teams including managing partners at the respective firms
Finance business partner responsible for reviewing KPI and monthly results package including P&L and balance sheet to deliver meaningful insights to member firms and regional leadership team
Key player in understanding monthly firm performance and provide insight into month-over-month variances
Direct involvement in preparation of monthly firm level performance reporting including actionable insights for firm and regional leadership teams
Experience with full cycle GL close and consolidations
Comfortable in team-oriented, collaborative environment
Ability to solve problems and challenge current processes to seek efficiencies

Required

Bachelor's degree (B.A.) in Accounting from a four-year college or university
Minimum of seven years of experience, preferably progressing from staff accountant levels to manager level experience overseeing full cycle GL close for multiple entities & overseeing a small team of accountants and/or support staff
Excellent organizational skills and interpersonal communication
Strong knowledge of accounting and financial reporting requirements
Ability to solve problems and challenge current processes to seek efficiencies
Comfortable in team-oriented, collaborative environment
Detail-oriented and works effectively under pressure while meeting applicable deadlines
Must be able to work independently and productively with minimum supervision

Preferred

CPA preferred
Experience working with multi-entity environments preferred
Prior role within multi-entity or fast-paced growth environment
Full cycle GL close experience
Experience with NetSuite or similar ERPs
Experience with Ramp or similar AP platforms
