Responsibilities
Process and verify invoices, ensuring accuracy and compliance with WAB policies and financial regulations. Assign and process AP invoice flow through Accounts Payable system (Concur). Ensure proper authorization for payment per the AP policy
Reconcile statements and resolve payment discrepancies in coordination with vendors and internal stakeholders. Assist in month-end and year-end closing processes, including financial reporting and audits. Generate accurate payments through Prologue AP system
Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations. Field questions and evaluate expense reports and invoices for accurate processing. Collaborate with procurement and finance teams to optimize payment processes
Provide mentorship and guidance to junior accounting staff
Qualification
Required
3+ years of related experience in Accounting, Finance (GL Mgmt, Public Reporting, Analysis) or similar field
High school diploma required; Bachelor's degree in related field preferred
Entry level to intermediate knowledge of general banking operations, including deposit operations, loan administration, treasury management and/or other commercial banking products and services
Entry level to intermediate knowledge of applicable regulatory and legal compliance obligations, rules and regulations, industry standards and practices
Entry level to intermediate understanding of AP principles
Entry level to intermediate proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
Intermediate speaking and writing communication skills
Preferred
Bachelor's degree in related field preferred
