Responsibilities
Oversee all core accounting functions, including cash management, fixed assets, general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll
Manage the accumulation and analysis of financial data to ensure accurate reporting of business results
Maintain the integrity of the general ledger , ensuring compliance with accounting policies and internal controls
Prepare and present monthly financial statements , clearly communicating results to management
Monitor and validate the Work in Progress (WIP) schedule to ensure accuracy at month-end
Oversee billing, collections, and cash flow to effectively support working capital needs
Develop and manage monthly and annual operating budgets , tracking performance and providing updates to leadership
Qualification
Required
5+ years of experience as a Financial Controller
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field required
Strong understanding of financial reporting
Demonstrated ability to interpret complex financial information and perform advanced mathematics
Strong leadership abilities, including experience in hiring, coaching, performance evaluations, and employee management
Proficient in Microsoft Office
Highly organized with the ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
Must pass mandatory drug screening
Preferred
Experience in a construction subcontractor environment strongly preferred
Master's degree preferred
CPA preferred
