Responsibilities

Build and publish Daily Beast newsletters with accuracy, speed, and a strong sense of editorial judgment
Assist with CMS production for articles tied to newsletter content
Ensure clean, polished copy and consistent formatting across products
Pitch and curate timely stories that align with The Daily Beast’s focus areas—politics, pop culture, breaking news, royals, media, and more
Surface smart angles and under-the-radar stories that fit our tone and audience
Clip video assets and write sharp, on-brand social blurbs to support newsletter and editorial content
Monitor audience comments, track engagement patterns, and flag noteworthy trends
Assist senior newsletter editors with research, organization, and daily production needs
Provide support to Daily Beast leadership; executive assistant experience is a plus

Required

A deep understanding of newsletter ecosystems, including Substack
A genuine enthusiasm for The Daily Beast's voice: fast, witty, curious, and sharp
Strong writing and editing skills, with clean copy and a good ear for tone
A proactive, ideas-driven mindset; able to juggle multiple assignments, prioritize in real time, and solve problems independently
Comfort working in a fast-paced, newsroom-style environment

Preferred

Experience with CMS tools, social publishing platforms, and basic video clipping preferred (but not required)
